On May 23, Pfizer announced that 3 doses of its COVID vaccine offers strong protection for children under age 5. Pfizer will share its data with the FDA at the end of May. This would be for children as young as 6 months old, up through age 4. (Pfizer’s vaccine for children ages 5 and older has already been authorized.) The FDA will meet in the middle of June to discuss.
