In this video, we’re going to outline five things you need to know about this new stimulus deal.

I’m Nicole from Low Income Relief, where we help millions of people save money and get free stuff.

As most of you know firsthand, this year has been brutal for low income families. Millions have fallen behind on their rent.

Millions have lost their jobs, while others have been forced to work in dangerous and difficult conditions.

The New York Times has reported that over 8 million people have fallen into poverty between May and October of this year alone.

Fortunately, there is relief in this second stimulus bill.

The second stimulus was wrapped into an omnibus bill so it is a shocking 5,593 pages long.

The entire document is now available online in its entirety on the official House website.

As of the time that I created this video, the bill was headed to President Trump’s desk for a final signature and he is expected to sign it.

5 things you need to know

First: the eviction moratorium has been extended.

Fortunately, I had to delete that video this morning because the eviction ban has been extended to January 31, 2021!

The new stimulus bill extends the eviction moratorium through January, which means that families who have fallen behind in their rent have at least one more month before evictions can be processed.

If you have fallen behind on your rent, I encourage you to visit our website. We have a list of five steps you can take today to protect yourself from eviction whenever the moratoriums end.

Remember, the eviction ban does not mean that you don’t have to pay rent; it just means that you can’t be forced to leave because you can’t afford the rent right now.
