The reports appear to be based on a push from The Senior Citizens League. This organization, also called TSCL, is a non-partisan advocacy group that advocates for seniors. In a letter to Congress in early October, TSCL Chairman Rick Delaney pushed elected officials to pass a $1,400 stimulus check exclusively for those who receive Social Security….
