The IRS says they are on track with the children’s stimulus like monthly payments to start in July. The IRS is saying the portal to update your kids, marital status and address will be put up before July. The IRS is reminding people taxes are due May 17th and filing a tax return is the best way to update your info, see if you qualify for a plus up stimulus check and the IRS tax refund on the first $10,200 of unemployment. It looks like Grandparents will be able to get the child tax credit if they are 1. the one caring for a child and 2. the child is claimed on their taxes. Still no concrete update on the student loan forgiveness though I believe it will happen on some level. Biden, Warren and Sanders want to see income increases for social security, SSI and SSDI to be at over above the federal poverty level. This could be accomplished by pulling more social security tax from higher earning americans while also saving hundreds of billions on prescription medicine the Federal Government purchases each year. A bi-partisan commission will be put together to better understand the Jan 6th capitol breach as Steve Miller testified Trump requested more assistance days before the event.
